How to use
Three to four drops on damp skin, at night, after the mist or after washing. Press it in rather than rubbing. In summer, two drops is plenty.
Patch test
Behind the ear, 24 hours, before the first full use. Sea buckthorn is a common enough sensitiser that we’d rather you found out on your ear.
Don’t combine with
Prescription tretinoin on the same night. Leave 24 hours between. If you’re using both, the bot on this page can lay out a week.

Three hundred kilometres, mostly.
The apricot kernels come from Sarmoli, above Munsyari in Pithoragarh, pressed by the women’s collective there between July and August. We buy the whole season’s kernel oil in one go and it sets what we can make that year — which is why the Dusk Oil is a 400-bottle batch and not a 4,000-bottle one.
Turmeric is from Kumaon, bought at Haldwani mandi. Rose hydrosol is the one thing that travels: Kannauj, because nobody in the hills distils rose at the quality we need. Sea buckthorn is Lahaul, in Himachal, which is 480 km away and the reason that line says “mostly.”
